เมื่อวันที่ 6 มกราคม 2569 คณะนิติศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย นำโดย รศ.ดร.ศุภศิษฏ์ ทวีแจ่มทรัพย์ คณบดี ผศ.ดร.ธิดารัตน์ ศิลปภิรมย์สุข รองคณบดี และ อ.ชัญญา บุญญวรรณ ผู้ช่วยคณบดี ให้การต้อนรับ Professor Yvonne Tew รองคณบดีฝ่าย Graduate Programs จาก Georgetown University สหรัฐอเมริกา ในโอกาสเข้าเยี่ยมชมคณะและหารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ
การหารือมุ่งเน้นความร่วมมือด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนคณาจารย์ การวิจัยร่วม และการพัฒนาการเรียนการสอน ตลอดจนการหารือเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับโอกาสศึกษาต่อระดับ LL.M. และทุนการศึกษาสำหรับนิสิตคณะนิติศาสตร์ จุฬาฯ ที่สนใจเข้าศึกษาต่อ ณ Georgetown University ซึ่งเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพและมาตรฐานการศึกษากฎหมายของไทยในระดับนานาชาติ
On January 6, 2026, Professor Yvonne Tew, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs at Georgetown University, USA, visited the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University. She was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suphasit Taweejamsup, Dean, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Tidarat Sinlapapiromsuk, Vice Dean for International Affairs, and Lecturer Chunya Boonyawan, Assistant Dean, for discussions on academic cooperation.
The discussions focused on strengthening academic collaboration, including faculty exchange, joint research, and teaching development, as well as opportunities for Chula Law students interested in pursuing the LL.M. program and scholarship opportunities at Georgetown University. This engagement reflects a shared commitment to enhancing international academic collaboration and expanding overseas study and exchange opportunities for Chula Law faculty and students.
Professor Tew is the author of Constitutional Statecraft in Asian Courts (Oxford University Press, 2020). Her article Strategic Judicial Empowerment was awarded the Hessel Yntema Prize for the most outstanding article by a scholar under the age of 40 published in the American Journal of Comparative Law. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and her doctoral dissertation received the Distinction in Research Prize in the Arts and Humanities from St Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge. She earned her first law degree from the University of Cambridge, graduating with Double First Class Honours, and later completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Harvard Law School under the Cambridge–Harvard Law Link scholarship, awarded to the top two final-year Cambridge law graduates entering Harvard Law School.
